Patrick T Parker’s Art Investment Protocol

In times of economic and political uncertainty people flock from paper or virtual investments to tangible investments, such as Gold, Silver and other precious metals, ART, coins, stamps and other collectibles. The rationale is simple; traditionally ART has outperformed the stock market. Right now Art is the number one performing investment on the planet. Which would you rather have, a Damian Hirst, Andy Warhol or a David Salle hanging on your wall at home, going up in value while you appreciate looking at it, or money sitting in a CD in the bank at 2% or 2 ½ % being ravaged by inflation?  Inflation like we’ve never seen!

Art presents an opportunity to increase your wherewithal while at the same time enjoying your investment.  Invest in Art otherwise you will most likely see your investments go backwards, your nest egg will decrease because there is no other investment to be found at this time without risk!  Would you park your money in money markets which have gone down recently due to the fact that commercial paper has dropped?  ART is one of the top investments if not the top investment in the world.

There are 3 classes of people, poor, middle class and rich.  Poor hopefully you’re not, middle class probably you are, and rich probably you want to be. The rich buy ART. The rich are going to continue to buy ART.  David Rockefeller paid $11,000.00 for a Mark Rothko in 1966.  That painting sold at auction in May 2007 for 57.8 Million Dollars!  How about the gentlemen who walked into Andy Warhol’s Gallery and purchased Lemon Marilyn in 1966 for $250.00 at that same auction in May 2007 Lemon Marilyn sold for 25.7 Million Dollars!

Art is an investment that you can appreciate, while it appreciates! ART is one of the finest investments on earth and it’s going to continue to be one of the finest investments that you can find anywhere because art is always desirable, regardless of its subjective nature, the right artist at the right time it can be the best investment that you’ve ever made.

Right now in the midst of all this volatility the key to strategic investment  is to buy ART, buy hot young artists, when they are hot, as they are starting to come up. Invest your money in artists that you think have the potential to come up.  Where are the Andy Warhol’s of today?  Just look at Robert Indiana, Damian Hirst, David Salle, Robert Motherwell, Robert Rauschenberg, Lichtenstein, Dines and especially Purvis Young.

Abercrombie’s prides itself on offering a wide range of distinctive and unique works of ART for discriminating investors. If you attend an Abercrombie Auctions International Grand Auction Event, not only will you have a chance to see some of the finest ART in the world, you’ll also get a chance to participate in the excitement that could very possibly lead to you making one of the finest investments that you’ve ever made.  Between the ART, jewelry, antiques and collectibles up for bid, you’re dealing with some of the best investments available anywhere. Discriminating individuals attending any Abercrombie Auctions International event will find that the experience of buying is itself a performance to remember. That to me is a whole lot better than leaving your money just sitting in the bank.
