Madden NFL 10, the latest edition of the Madden NFL video game brand, will be released nationwide on Friday, August 14.
The cover features Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu and Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, marking the first time two players have ever graced the cover of the game at one time. The two faced on in Super Bowl XLIII.
The game, which was created by EA Sports and EA Tiburon, will be released on iPhone, Nintendo DS, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable (PSP), Wii, Xbox 360 consoles, as well as mobile devices.

Popular micro-blogging site Twitter has been taken offline following a cyber attack described as a “denial-of-service.”
According to Twitter’s official company blog the site was “the target of a denial of service attack.” The blog, written by Biz Stone, went on to say “Attacks such as this are malicious efforts orchestrated to disrupt and make unavailable services such as online banks, credit card payment gateways, and in this case, Twitter for intended customers or users.’

Television stations across the United States will officially make their transition from analog to digital signals on Friday, the FCC's deadline.

Google has admitted that the curious outage in a number of their services early Thursday morning was caused by an upgrade error on their part.
According to several reports Google had been attempting to make changes to Internet routing numbers as part of its conversion from an older networking standard to a newer one. While undergoing this process Google experienced a hardware failure which in turn prevented Internet service providers from locating Google’s new routing numbers, thus the shutdown.

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has announced that the social networking site will return to its previous terms of service following an outcry from members regarding a new policy that concerned user data.
Changes made to the terms of service stipulated that Facebook could maintain possession of all data uploaded to their site even after a user deleted their profile. While Zuckerberg stated that the move was made to ensure comments or messages sent by a member weren’t deleted when their profile was removed the explanation didn’t sit well with members, many of whom left the popular networking community.

NASA has decided to delay the launch of its next Mars mission for at least two years due to continued problems with testing and hardware.
Plans to launch the Mars Science Laboratory rover mission in early 2009 were scrapped after it was determined the risk would be too great. Nearly 150 long-finned pilot whales that beached themselves on the Australian island of Tasmania have died.
The whales were discovered on Saturday in a remote coastal area of the island with many of them suffering serious injuries from jagged rocks in the area known as Sandy Cape.

A virus known as the “Sinowal trojan” has been blamed for the theft of information pertaining to more than 500,000 bank accounts, credit cards and debit cards across the globe.
The Sinowal trojan virus has targeted hundreds of thousands of financial institutions, gathering online usernames and passwords of bankers as well as other sensitive information pertaining to banking accounts.
